Must remember to blog more! How on earth to people find time to do this sort of thing every day? Clearly need to change mindset and commit! Anyway, we are both excited about our recording at the end of this week. After being asked if we had a CD at Christmas Parties we performed at we thought, THE TIME HAS COME! Since duets and singing together is at the core of our work we thought we’d start with duets. Watch this space for further news. Hopefully we’ll have some tracks up on the website very soon.

New Year’s Resolution!
Monday, January 16th, 2012Church at Church Eaton
Tuesday, June 28th, 2011We’re looking forward to presenting “Luck Be a Lady” for the Church Eaton festival in Staffordshire in the, for us, less common venue of – yes, you’ve guessed it, a church this Friday. The promoter has seen our show so they should be prepared for our, at times, bordering-on-the-burlesque style of entertaining. At least we hope they are!!
Websites
Monday, May 30th, 2011Why is it just when you think you are there with the website more glitches appear? Or rather, you see what needs doing more clearly? And why am I incapable of making decisions until I actually see something in situ? No don’t answer that thanks!
Website update
Friday, May 20th, 2011At last, after much end-of-the-pencil-chewing we are making some much needed alterations to the website. This reflects Flamin’ Dames branching out into weddings and the corporate market. Do take a look!
Luck be a Lady
Saturday, October 2nd, 2010Having been closeted (is that the right word!?) inside all summer cooking up a new feast, we hit Staffordshire with “Luck be a Lady” last night. And the punters seemed to love it, which is good news alround. Its always a struggle putting together a new show. Unlike a sensible show/opera/play that has a script to work from, we dames start from absolutely nothing – a scarily blank page. The theres trillions of hours work spent couped up together deciding what songs, themes, bits of silliness, choreography, costumes, scenery etc etc, then sourcing it all & rehearsing the whole caboodle. I particularly wanted to have wheely suitcases, high kicking & murder in the show. Hils had an idea for a sing along & came up with some wonderful cod italian. …Oh but hang on, i don’t want to give the game away completely ! To whet your collective appetites, it features the wonderful world of casinos via many other themes. We’re pleased with it (though it sure is full on!) and we hope you will be too.
